Yesterday, Optimism announced the launch of Optimism Drop #4, a token distribution initiative that extends gratitude to 22,998 unique addresses, totaling a staggering 10,343,757.81 OP.

According to optimism, the airdrop was more than just a distribution of tokens; it's a heartfelt 'thank you' to the community who have contributed to the vibrancy of the Superchain and the wider crypto ecosystem. It marks Optimism's first airdrop across the Superchain and a celebration of the expanding network of OP Chains uniting to build a sustainable system together.

With emphasis that the Superchain has evolved into a hub of creative expression for artists, it now encompasses platforms like Zora, Base, Ethereum L1, and OP Mainnet. over 200,000 addresses creating NFT collections, artists and creators are pivotal in fostering the growth and vitality of the Optimism Collective.

The eligibility for Optimism Airdrop #4 was determined by constructive participation criteria, ensuring that tokens were distributed to active contributors. Optimism further reiterated that while past eligibility does not guarantee future participation, receiving OP opens doors to engaging in the robust governance system within the ecosystem. It's an opportunity to shape the collective's embrace of artists and contribute to its vision.

Optimism encouraged those who received the token to participate in the governance ecosystem where they can build the foundation of their journey into the ecosystem.
