If I’m honest this was a hard experience to swallow but it inspired me to give others the support, I never felt I had pursuing Art.

I encountered homelessness, unemployment and ultimately felt no joy in life during this chapter.

The Birth Of FILFUK (2015)

[FILF] - Fashion i Live For was birthed with the sole purpose of shedding light on creatives in a different manner by merging Art, Fashion, Music and Design infused with a dash of storytelling.

I realised that creatives often share their gift with the world for consumption without having a space to truly open up about the highs and lows of their unique creative path.

In this day and age, we receive information so fast, I often feel like the effort and transparency of the creative journey is highly undervalued and often reduced to the value of a like.

One of the main reasons for the creation of the series our community of creative’s built called #YiD - Why I Design.

This series allows creatives to share their journey beyond the canvas and connect with new audiences like never before.

Since 2016, I have managed to do 99.9% of the work on FILF by myself, which involves creative scouting, emails, content creation, branding, website development, social media management, graphics design creation and creative industry research.

Revenue made from FILF was reinvested in order to grow the business.

I have been willing to work unpaid in belief on the bigger picture. It's time to expand from one person (Me) into a team !!!

I’m looking to work with people in the following roles Creative Scouts, Social Media Manager, Graphics Designer and a Community manager.

Shortly after, I made the tough decision to pause FILF, as I wasn’t able to build the right team required and fund the business enough to up keep up with business or life demands.

I will start by uploading all the original #YID features as collectible stories for the masses to see and onboard the amazing multidisciplinary creatives that aren’t already in the Web 3.0 space.

One of the core aims is to use this first post on Mirror XYZ as an opportunity to attract the right creative individuals interested in building and pushing the FILF community forward.
