With layer 2, zk-rollup, etc continually pushing down the cost per transaction, the time is ripe for a full on-chain order book on the EVM. Many will tackle this problem, but none will be as successful as (Clober)[https://clober.io\]. We have designed our own data structures specific to the EVM to minimize gas fees and created an order book DEX that blows competitors out of the water. When the time is right, we will reveal the secret sauce that enables such an order book to the public.
