Experts of the diagnostic center, in a team with mathematicians from Moscow University, have created a new method that allows to control the quality of the functioning of medical tomographs. As a result, it will be possible to quickly identify the slightest malfunctions in the operation of such equipment, and in automatic mode. The MRI control algorithm is based on photo analytics using recurrent and convolutional neural networks. The project was presented at the scientific conference International Symposium on Computer Based Medical Systems.
The development was based on an algorithm, the authors of which were specialists from Moscow State University. As a result, technicians who control the operation of tomographs will be able to quickly find the causes of unstable functioning of tomographs and promptly eliminate them. Of course, the system still needs to be improved and additionally tested, however, even today it shows decent results. An updated approach to monitoring the operation of tomographs will improve the quality of radiation diagnostics. At the moment, MRI is considered one of the most accurate ways to visualize the internal organs of a person in a three-dimensional projection. It is increasingly used by modern radiologists to clarify the diagnosis without harmful ionizing radiation.
