Driven By Lust...?

Lust, not love, drives the world...

In economics, Adam Smith's theory of the Invisible Hands suggests that the world's economy is driven by unseen forces which move the markets - while Adam Smith limited his theory to Self-Interests, I'm pretty sure that Lust is a major component of the invisible hands which drive the world. Oh, lust is also self-interest.

That's why the top is occupied by Lustful people who lust after power, influence, wealth and the beauties of this world. The more they have, the more they desire to have.

Religion was originally created to control this inbuilt lust in humans but it ended up falling into the same lust - that's how powerful lust is. The bling bling Culture has eaten deep into the fabrics of today's Religious systems - and it's expected and will continue to increase.

And No, Lust is a Positive Energy - but there's always the negative side to every good thing.

I love cars... In fact, every year, I reward or punish my performance in business by the choice of a car I buy. Emmm, I admit shamefully that I buy a car every year. That's shameful for a man who preaches financial discipline. But just know that I do trade ins most times so it's not that bad. And moreover, it helps me to ensure that my car has the latest technology at every time. Last year, I walked into a dealership and ordered a brand new 2023 coupe styled sports SUV. The car was just newly launched in Africa and immediately I saw it, my Range Rover lost value in my mind. But guess what? That once beautiful car that seduced me, with only 5000 kilometres on it today, has become a second hand car with far less market value than what I bought it for. I'm still enjoying it now but by the time something new catches my attention, I'll forget that I once desired this one. That's how Lust drives the world economy. If I'm not lustful, I wouldn't buy the car. If we don't buy the car, the manufacturer will lose business. If the manufacturers lose business, unemployment will rise and crimes will increase. It's a cycle but DESIRE OR LUST is a central part of the equation.

You have a house but you are dreaming of a better house - that's positive lust.

You have 100K followers on social media but you want to reach more people with your brand - that's positive lust.

Even praying for MORE anointing especially when you see someone express unique gifts, that too is Lust - but a positive one. Paul says "COVET GIFTS". The word covet means POSITIVE LUST.

Lust becomes negative when you engage in criminal, immoral or hurtful acts to satisfy them. For example, you want an iPhone 15 Pro Max and you sell your body in exchange for the device only to find out tomorrow that iPhone 17 is months away. But if your lust for iPhone 15 Pro Max drives you to work harder, create new solutions etc, then you possess positive lust.

I have taught this many times - LUST IS NOT EVIL. LUST IS A GIFT TO HUMANS. But what you do with your lust is a product of your character and upbringing.

Even with sexual lusts - you can convert it to a driving force for growth. Napoleon Hill calls it Sexual Transmutation. Please study it and you will learn how you can convert your sexual energy to productive energy.
