How I Started with Crypto.com – And Why I Moved On

My first exchange? Crypto.com.

It was simple. Mobile. Always there when I needed it.

I used to trade everything on my phone. No candles, no limit orders. Just a few taps, and I was done. At the time, it felt like magic. I didn’t need anything more… until I did.

My first trading setup was just me, my phone, and the Crypto.com app. Simple. Fast. But not built for the long haul.

Speed ≠ Control

Crypto.com is perfect when you’re just buying Bitcoin during lunch. But once you start watching charts, thinking about entry points, setting orders… it begins to feel too basic.

I wanted more tools, more control, more information. And eventually, I moved on.

I still have the app on my phone. Not sure why. Maybe it’s habit. Or maybe I just like remembering where it all started.

Their Cards? Underrated

If you’re new to crypto, the Crypto.com Visa card is worth checking out. You get cashback, sometimes Spotify or Netflix, depending on how much CRO you hold.

And that first time paying in the real world with crypto? Honestly, it feels like a cheat code. Nobody at the counter knows you just paid using blockchain. That small “Approved” beep hits different.

The Diamonds and Boxes? Mostly a Gimmick

Then there are those in-app games. Diamonds, boxes, daily bonuses.

I gave it a shot for a while. Logged in, clicked around, waited. Usually, I’d get a few cents worth of CRO. Or some random discount on a football shirt I’d never wear.

Unless you’re logging in every single day, it’s probably not worth it. After a few weeks, I stopped. Looking back, I might’ve been better off collecting actual rocks in the forest.

CRO Token? Not for Me

Their native token, CRO, just didn’t do it for me.

Too volatile. Not enough momentum. I held some. I watched the charts. Nothing clicked. Eventually, I moved on to other coins.

Not every token is meant to be part of your story.

Looking Back

Crypto.com was the right place to start. It got me in the door. It gave me that first spark. But for real trading, I needed more.

If you’re just getting into crypto or want a low-effort way to buy and spend, it’s still a solid option. But if you’re serious about trading… you’ll probably outgrow it too.

Everyone starts somewhere. Maybe it’s Binance. Maybe it’s a cold wallet. For me, it was something simple — and that was enough.

The important part? You grow. You move on. And sometimes, you look back… just to see how far you’ve come.

I started here, but I didn’t stay. For real trading, I needed more than a clean app and card perks.
