I decide to drive to forest for a rest from the car. I have to rush because once the sun sets in the forest, there is no returning before nightfall.
At the edge of the forest, where the forest meets the village, is a shrine to goddess Kali. The shrines are very old and have thick walls with no windows and only a narrow door. The shrine is a temple, but the worship is of the goddess herself.
As I enter the shrine, the temple lights are not flickering and the temple is not too crowded. I see the images of goddess Kali, saints and a few men who offer their prayers. There is a stone roof and the trees have grown around the temple to form a cave. The forest reaches the roof of the temple and there is a waterfall at the back of the temple, with a tall wooden staircase leading up to a wooden bridge. The smell of forest and water mixes with the smell of flowers, making it a beautiful place to rest.
I climb the wooden steps and walk up to the bridge. I find the temple covered in a thick layer of green foliage, along with trees
