I help a friend with his 2.0 website at Clearshowerxl.com so I thought I would go ahead and reserve some web3 domains for him. The .x is under the unstoppable domains company and is built off the polygon network.
I also ended up buying my name as well. I like the .x because its clean. Now I also have mattheweastman.eth as well

This was much cheaper than ENS domains. With my .eth domain, I made a few super costly mistakes.. whereas the mistakes on the polygon network only cost me a buck or two.

I was able to mint these .x domains easily on the polygon blockchain.

As far as launching a website on this protocol.. I think we are still a bit early for all that. I followed the website instructions to publish a simple html page on the blockchain.

Then went to add a redirect from your normal domain to this domain.
It never really worked for me until later I figured out you need to have this extension to see .x domains. So this leads me to believe we just aren’t there yet with UX and blockchain-enabled browsers.
https://unstoppabledomains.com/extension
anyway.. maybe we will use this in the future QmNurkrTkEnjDQt7oACneAi9NhoRyJMerHVf2mJsY1DHoW
