We are excited to be co-leading a $3 million Seed round into Daylight, an API and web app that helps users discover everything their wallet can do through indexing and aggregating web3 abilities.

Participating in crypto can feel like a series of treasure hunts: collecting clues, finding puzzle pieces, working in teams in order to find what you’re looking for. If the treasure hunt gets challenging or is stale, has ambiguous rules, or lacks entertainment, people will lose interest and churn. The same is true for crypto. Daylight makes this global treasure hunt meaningful and fun, demystifying complexity and bringing people closer to the communities they care about.

Guiding your web3 journey

Daylight is building software that helps people know what they can do with their tokens. Tokens are more than just stores of value, they represent large parts of who we are. Tokens unlock magic moments that Daylight calls abilities. They are gateways for participation and contribution in web3. Examples of abilities that tokens unlock like claiming airdrops, minting NFTs, accessing digital spaces, and so many more. Users are able to act on these abilities through the Daylight API and Web App which indexes and aggregates abilities. Instead of hunting down for clues and information across Twitter, Discord, and Telegram, Daylight simplifies the discovery and action for these abilities.

Empowers the next wave of web3 contributors

Daylight is valuable for any user regardless of their experience in crypto. For users who are new to web3, Daylight will over time help them discover opportunities, communities, projects that they may be interested in. As users become more comfortable with web3, Daylight will continue to highlight and show opportunities that are most relevant for them. Daylight works to solve the cold start problem in web3 while continuing to focus on contributions and users finding meaningful abilities.

Fueling the web3 ecosystem: wallets, dApps, and tokenized communities

Daylight doesn’t just serve users. It is also critical infrastructure that will propel growth in the web3 ecosystem of wallets, dApps, and decentralized communities. Having token abilities indexed, aggregated, and easily accessible for users will increase participation and retention for these projects. At a time when web3 projects are holding onto their most loyal users, Daylight opens the floodgates to a new class of users regardless of crypto exposure.
