The city of Bianjing is the prosperous capital city of 12th Century Song Dynasty. The Bian river wander through the city with over one million population. Being capital city of seven dynasties, Bianjing is one of the world most developed cities with all lines of business. Rivermen are indigenous residents living and thriving along the Bian river.
Along the river during Qingming Festival is a famous Song Dynasty painting, a true national treasure, vividly capturing Rivermen’s stories in the five meter long ancient scroll. It is miniature and reflection of then prosperous Song Dynasty.
Bianriverse, a voxel based metaverse with 202 identifiable professions, is under construction to reproduce scenes of prosperous Bianjing and allow multiplayers collectively to evolve and uplift the city to next era.

There are a few dozens of interesting stories in the ancient scroll. Each story consists a scene with a few rivermen (pawn).
Old Charcoal Seller and Grandon
In the sparse forest outside the city of Bian, a teenager led the way with five donkeys, loaded with charcoal, followed by his grandfather. They seems to trek a long way along a creek toward the city center, maybe hoping for a good sale in the city. A small wooden bridge is right next to them, which lead them closer to the destination. Making a living is not easy for rural folks even in prosperous Song dynasty in its heyday.
