Consensus 2024 was a record-breaking conference with major announcements, new projects being built, and much more. It was an exciting time for the space since recent regulations were passed and ETF announcements gearing up euphoria. As price action reflects a growing number of users, it doesn’t necessarily equate to growth in diversity which is why BLKW3B has crafted a community of crypto enthusiasts of color and various backgrounds to create and promote bridging the gap. Since 2022, BLKW3B has collaborated with the biggest names in crypto to provide opportunities for our communities worldwide. Coindesk, Eth Denver, LBank Labs, Near Protocol and many more are some of the names that have supported BLKW3B to provide tickets, exclusive networking opportunities, and much more.

This year at Consensus BLKW3B was able to host a brunch and a delightful happy hour in the heart of Austin! Helium was hosting an exhibition The Gallery at The Sunset Room and in collaboration with Mobile and the Helium Network, BLKW3B was highlighting creatives in our community as well as local black-owned businesses that provided our delicious breakfast (Bird Bird Biscuit and Merit Coffee).

On Friday to wrap things up we came together and had our Last Call Happy Hour at a wonderful rooftop downtown. It was great opportunity to have the BLKW3B community meet IRL as well as new faces we got to meet. Overall the space has grown exponentially and so has the POC community in web3, our goal is to keep educating and expanding the depth of knowledge and experiences for our people.
