I activated my Creator Coin on Zora: → Symbol: $mikeshupp • CA: 0x9b96...9d96, an ERC-20 token on Base Chain. Creator Coins tokenize a user's profile, and follow on Zora's implementation earlier this year of Content Coins, where each new post on the social app creates a tradable ERC-20 token on Base Chain, via a Uniswap liquidity pool. Now, with the implementation of Creator Coins, each new post's coin is paired in its Uniswap v4 liquidity pool with the user's Creator Coin; and the Creator Coin is paired in its own liquidity pool with Zora's native ERC-20 token $ZORA, also on Base Chain... thus capturing the value of all posts in a "flywheel" of content creation.
Both Post tokens and Creator tokens on Zora are minted with a total supply of 1,000,000,000. For Post tokens, users receive an upfront allocation of 10 million. In contrast, Creator tokens allocate 500 million to the user, streamed continually over a 5-year vesting schedule. The token Market Caps increase or decrease in value with trading and attention, and can be viewed in DEX Screener and other charting platforms for decentralized exchanges.
