So people are finally starting to clue into what @NeoTokyoCode is about but for new people who haven’t been forged from the riddle trials and lore of the past 10 months there are a lot of common questions that may not be easily answered there’s a lot to break down in the 🧵 below

The OG citizens (S1s) were originally minted for free which initially composed of just Identities, over the course of months and game theory events eventually 3 more parts were claimable where all the traits for each nft were able to be combined or uploaded to create a citizen

Neo Tokyo Part 1 Identities opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Part 2 Vault Cards opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Part 3 Item Caches opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Part 4 Land Deeds opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Citizens (Uploaded) https://opensea.io/collection/neotokyo-citizens
For most people its just easiest to buy the uploaded citizen outright, however at any point you can disassemble your citizen into its parts and reupload it with different parts here:
you can also do this via contract here:via etherscan.io/token/0xb668be…

Now there are lots of different traits and stats between the citizens most of it doesnt mean anything for now they are just traits for appearance or flavor. However the most important trait by far is the reward rate trait which determines how many bytes a citizen yields/24hrs

he reward rate is a combination of rarity value calculated between the identity and vault, least rare id is 1 point least rare vault is 1 point so the lowest reward rate a citizen can have is 2 ect… this can go all the way up to 15 technically but most fall in the 2–5 range.
Technically a S1 doesnt need a the vault nft component for upload which means they will have a reward rate of only 1 so be aware as if your buying a full S1 they wont have the vault nft associated with which isnt obvious, example in this floor citizen here opensea.io/assets/ethereu…

Other than reward rate, being a top 500 rarity uploaded S1 makes you an elite at this point its mainly a status flex for now, but it also gives you access to elite only private channels and potentially better networking opportunities with high value people

NT uses rarity mon as the official rarity calculator
Ideally you want to be like rank 400 as over time people may disassemble and reassemble parts that may push you out of the top 500
There is also an amazing assembler tool created by one of community members (I forget who its been a while please tag them if you know who)
This lets you see whats available for parts and calculate potential rarity (~20 places) and appearance of a citizen
Another community tool made by the dev team that calculates when youll get your next bytes and cumulative redeemable total for that wallet
VERY important to note that you must claim your bytes BEFORE you disassemble your citizen, whatever wallet holds the citizen can claim the bytes, so you can move the nft around to different wallets and that wallet is able to claim the bytes for that citizen
Now we get to touch on $bytes, the utility token, everyone’s favorite subject
yes yes bytes price has been a shitshow essentially the result off poor tokenomics where there was too much daily inflationary supply with not enough organic demand and use cases, classic crypto
However after about 5+ months of work a new tokenomic model for bytes 2.0 will finally be released in a few weeks solving a lot of the previous issues, I could easily do whole thread breaking down the changes alone but if you want a good understanding I would read through the details whitepaper below its worth your time
drive.google.com/file/d/1DQuAUW…
And yes S2s will also be able to earn 0.5 bytes/day up to 1 depending on how long you lock for under the new model, if they choose to lock up 100 bytes
Bytes can currently only be purchase via uniswap
DexTools $BYTES dextools.io/app/ether/pair…
bytes token: 0x7d647b1a0dcd5525e9c6b3d14be58f27674f8c95
Neo Tokyo $BYTES Uniswap app.uniswap.org/#/swap?outputC…
Neo Tokyo $BYTES Claim Interaction
A portion (I think 10%) of the more desirable whitelists also go to the marketplace which you can buy with bytes, Ex. being @ESION_Club recently for 20 $bytes
theres some more to bytes but this isnt supposed to be bull thread on bytes so well end it here
Ok thats cool and all but I dont have 10–15k to spend is there a more affordable way into the community ?This is where people would probably suggest looking into the secondary collection outer citizens (S2s)
They essentially follow the same assembly mechanics as S1s but the main difference is they dont yield any bytes (until 2.0 rolls out) and have less access to people, channels, perks, and first access to more desirable things
Ex. higher allocation spots to all WL, higher allocation potential for IDO investments, wl spots for high ticket items, Ex 50 PXN wl spots were raffled off only to S1s
For S2s you will also need 100 $bytes to participate in ido allocations run by @CitCapFund the investment branch for NT. You lock your bytes for 12 months and this get you up to 500$ allocation for each offer, the bytes are then returned to you after a year
Neo Tokyo Outer Identities: opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Outer Item Caches: opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Outer Lands: opensea.io/collection/neo…
Neo Tokyo Outer Citizens (fully uploaded) opensea.io/collection/neo…
rarity mon calculator: https://www.raritymon.com/Collections?collection=neotokyooutercitizens
S2s can get a majority of the benefits for a fraction of the price, Important to note that NT is one of those places where you have to put in work to get the most out of it, you have to dig a bit to find all of the different departments, the people with varying skills and value
its not the place to sit back and hope that free airdrops or WL are going to print you money or @ZssBecker @elliotrades are going to call out some random altcoin for you to pump and dump, you need to stay involved and participate to get the most value
there have been several bad citizen projects but also some very promising ones as well that citizens have been able to get in on the ground floor by be involved and participating some of the bigger ones including @vvvfund @spectrevc @CitCapFund and many more
there is also a community made wiki by @fauve_6903 which has a lot of good info that you can refer to
if you found this thread helpful or want to share it with someone else or save it for yourself for later you can feed the twitter algo by liking and retweeting the first tweet in the thread
some revisions/additions to add:
the cit cap allocation for S2 is a minimum of $500 up to $1000, not just $500
the S2 allocation trait despite the name doesnt mean anything its just to determine rarity at this point in time, rarity for S2s also doesnt really matter at this point aswell
for citcap investments the bytes are staked for 6 months not 12 and you have 1 week to take them out or they automatically get re-staked you must have BYTES staked to participate in any investment
Bytes 1.0 yield has been halted until 2.0 is pushed out
drop a follow if you found this helpful and want to be alerted to more threads, next week im going to do a breakdown of how the citcap (Neo tokyo investment branch) allocation system works
