The Evolution of NFTs

In the beginning, there was Instagram, where you could view digital images. Then NFTs caused a bit of a stir. With an NFT, you could view AND own a digital image. However, some people thought that this was not enough. They decided to add utility, which, as luck would have it, was the missing piece.

The Mitama NFT project was born with a big word…. philanthropy. Simply put, doing good for others out of the kindness of your heart. Making real-world change through NFTs.

Mitama is about change everything. Changing the world through the blockchain, with donations written directly in the contract. Changing the way NFTs interact after each transaction on the blockchain. Changing the way we think about interacting with technology, and each other.

It may seem small, but it is no small action to those in need and whom will benefit from it. You are changing a life. You are changing the world Yes, you!

How can owning a digital image (NFT) create such change? Great question.

This project has developed 10,000 NFTs. 9,000 of them are divided into 7 elements that each represent a charitable cause. Your element is your charitable cause.

The Elements

We created a variety of elements to ensure that we captured the essence of many causes. The 7 elements are: Metal, Fluffy, Glow, Liquid, Matte, Fire, and Diamond. Each one representing a relevant cause around the globe.

Metal represents developing nations. Fluffy is for animal rescues. Glow supports art and cultural causes. Liquid is the environment. Matte is children’s foundations. Fire is conflict resolution. And lastly, Diamond is poverty alleviation.

“Wait a second. Didn’t you say only 9,000 NFTs had elements? What happens to the remaining 1,000 NFTs?”

You are paying attention. “Mitama likes that.”

Yes, the Mitama NFT project set aside 1,000 NFTs that have no traits. Let’s call them traitless NFTs. This was not a random decision, it was a twist to the project. Each of the 1,000 remaining traitless NFTs will be auctioned off one-by-one each day after the public sale of 9,000 NFTs.

The donation proceeds of each traitless NFT will go to a charity chosen by the DAO. Yes, the DAO, consisting of NFT holders, will vote on which charity will receive the auction proceeds. 👏

Does every holder’s vote weigh the same? No. Their leaderboard position affects their voting score. We will get into that in another blog.

Holders will also enjoy incentives. Purchasing, holding, and selling have different benefits for holders.

Purchasing incentives include goodies, Twitter PFPs, 3D printing, action figures, and evolution. Holding incentives include metaverse pets and DAO voting power.. Finally, selling incentives include dividends, a leaderboard, and forging.

Ok, so we have 10,000 NFTs with these wonderful utilities and incentives. How do you become a holder?
