This is my personalized reflection of @TheRoadToWeb3, the @AlchemyPlatform community, and my upcoming Journey with @AlchemyLearn University.
Who are you, and what is your software development background? Hello, I'm Dan Mitchell, and my software development background started at Alchemy Road to Web3 courses after learning about it on YouTube from Vitto and Albert videos.
Why did you want to complete this lesson? I originally wanted to complete the challenges related to smart contracts and NFT creation, minting, gallery, and marketplace after being a paart of the recent NFT craze of 2021. I then found interest in learning coding and the additional lessons related to blockchain APIs and dev tutorials.
When did you complete the project? I completed the RTW3 courses Early October and loved every minute of the journey from July on.
What technologies did you use? Remix, Filebase, Solidity, Hard-Hat, Next.js, Vercel, tailwind css, Chainlink, Optimism, Piniata, Scaffold-Eth, Github, and Lens-Protocol.
What did you enjoy about the tutorial? I mostly enjoyed how easy to follow along the tutorials are, and if I needed further assistance, the Community of devs was always available to bounce questions and ideas off and continue the paths.
How do you think you can use this technology to build useful applications in the future? What are some specific example applications? I'm already starting to see real-world applications of these technologies being developed and put in to use, from NFT marketplaces and galleries to event ticket redemptions, evolving dynamic utilities, and token staking opportunities.
Who would you recommend this project to? I would recommend RTW3 projects to anyone interested in the web3, blockchain, and metaverse evolutions, especially those with project ideas of their own and not sure how to get started on making it a reality.
What is the Ethereum wallet address you would like to receive your PoK at? 0x827516Eca72B5d226A542eD5884E4EffA50650D3
In this self-paced, 10 project Road to Web3 course, I had the opportunity to learn from industry experts on the cutting-edge of web3, meet fellow developers, supercharge my skills through real-world applications, and mint Proof-of-Knowledge NFTs. Projects increased in difficulty and included video and written tutorials for the most relevant web3 use-cases, and rewarded me with coveted Kudos-NFTs.
I’m Excited to move forward with the JavaScript crash course covering the basics of programming through advanced topics like asynchronous requests and promises. The most used developer tools and libraries for Ethereum are JavaScript based, making it a key foundation to web3 development. Each week will have interactive coding challenges, videos, and tutorials for me to enjoy challenging myself and offer consulting opportunities with other developers.
After which, I can aspire to complete the the Ethereum Developer Bootcamp comprehensive course that will teach me the fundamentals of web3 development. The course includes everything from cryptography to smart contracts to fully functional dApp development. This is the #1 resource will help jumpstart my web3 career opportunities. Content is released on a weekly basis with live sessions, interactive coding challenges, videos, written guides, and weekly projects.
Exciting times!
