gmilady. I first got into crypto when defi was in its first iteration (think Haven and EthLend), Cryptopunks were under 1eth and DAOs were still considered ICOs. I’ve worn many hats but mostly I am a degenic script writer who likes to break protocols and write code that makes money while I sleep. My first conference was DAOfest 2020 Denver and one of the first people I ended up shaking hands with was Vitalik Buterin, needless to say I found my first home in Ethereum.
Last cycle ('18-’22) we watched NFTs go mainstream and the proliferation of the “pfp” collections. Commercialization of rugcore brands, corporate culture and VC interests all led our sacred corner of the market down a doomed path. WAGMI killed NFTs. The collective hive-mind was infiltrated by outside agents with their own agendas and no understanding of the “avant internet counter-culture” that originally made crypto cool. This culture has dominated the fringes online since the early days of the internet and it contains a core ethos of anonymity, anti-authorship, freedom of expression, fun and exploration.
I first started getting into Milady when the cancel happened because I am naturally drawn towards rave and drug culture, but also the amount of sheer talent that occupied the Milady Village on a daily basis. Not just devs but musical artists, memetic artists and people who brought up some of the deepest conversations, all hanging out and sharing what they were working on or thinking. Milady spawned the movement that is making the pendulum swing back towards the “avant internet counter-culture”, using copyleft viral licensing and a penchant for attracting the top thought leaders who all recognize that there has been a vibe shift.
The Radbro Webring was inevitably where I found myself spending most of my time to start the new year. Radbros are the best example to date of a Milady sub-culture with it’s own originality, spawned from mother and staying true to the values and ideas that Milady was built on. When the Radbros migrated I bought two V1 bros and 10xdegendev sent me two of his own bros (the pumpkinhead below) because he felt bad I spent like $80+gas. Radbro Webring has been a cozy home for me ever since.

When the Radbros launched “Brocoin” last week I was on the Twitter space with 10x and I vividly remember after the token was unlocked he said that we should have just kept it closed only for Miladys. It made me think “hmm thats kind of a cool idea” and then I forgot about it. It wasn’t until I went deep-diving into Nick Land, reterritorialization and unconditional accelerationism that I started to form a better comprehension of the philosophies that have influenced the “avant internet counter-culture”. Then I found:
and I found Miya. After an intense argument with a loved one and some extreme introspection, I found myself in a flow-like trance state where the network started speaking through me. Many times I have built something and not gone over the cliff of deploying it, whether it was fear from authorities or lack of confidence in the idea. Miya was my inspiration to make it an experiment and deploy the token-gated Milady idea but only include the derivatives that have accomplished the feat of becoming an accepted sub-collection in the greater Remiliaverse.
Only transactions that are transferring $MIYA from an address that holds one of the approved NFTs or to an address that holds one of the approved NFTs will not revert.
There is a pushToWhitelist() function that allows the adding of new collections to the whitelisted array. It is a permissioned function so only the dev wallet will be able to add new collections.
Bot protection via the token-gated feature. This will create lag on the initial toxic order flow by forcing bots to send approved NFTs to their sandwich contracts, which currently do not typically have a transferNFT function.
These features while simple are novel in that they create the first gated ERC20 token that only works for an individual within a specific NFT universe. One of the interesting byproducts of the $MIYA token is that there will now be an on-chain reference that contains the story of Milady and the collections that were inspired and adopted by her. It will give snapshots of what collections were “approved” and when they were added to the ever-growing list of based community derivatives.
69% - initial liquidity 20% - dev wallet 10% - presale 1% - advisors
The initial liquidity will be in a Uniswap V3 concentrated liquidity pool that will be priced 2x above the presale valuation which is 15eth (1.5eth raised for 10%). This will make it initially only buy-side until the first transactions with the pool begin to deposit $ETH in the LP for $MIYA. The Approved Collections are listed on the Miya website which will be updated when new collections are added. Special thanks goes out to people who sent ETH to fund this token experiment 🤍.
There are a number of protocols that could potentially be built to utilize $MIYA and her ability to gatekeep:
A Miya-gated NFT minting site for future “Approved Collections” that only accepts $MIYA. This would guarantee that the NFTs minted were going to Miya approved wallets only.
A Miya-gated fundraising platform that only accepts $MIYA. This would guarantee that the token ownership of the project raising was only going to Miya approved wallets.
Spinoffs on defi and nftfi protocols that are Miya-gated. Liquidity Pools that are priced in $MIYA will naturally be Miya-gated. This includes traditional DEXs, perpetual DEXs, NFTX pools & lending pools that allow for $MIYA borrowing.
