TLDR: The Mode Developer Mainnet is now live enabling developers to start deploying key infrastructure and applications. A public launch will follow in early December. Developers can get started by visiting our documentation and by joining the Dev-Mainnet-Channel in the Mode discord.
Mode’s developer mainnet launch is a significant milestone in building new economic systems to effectively reward developers and users that grow the Mode, Optimism and Ethereum ecosystems.
The Mode Public Mainnet will go live in early December with Mode’s Sequencer Fee Sharing module and Onchain Referral products launching alongside a suite of growth tooling and grants to support developers with application launches. You can apply for support to launch on Mode HERE
Developer Mainnet
The Dev Mainnet period enables developers to deploy on Mainnet while getting the infrastructure and integrations ready. Mode’s protocol integrations team will be available throughout the Developer Mainnet period to support builders looking to redeploy from testnet or deploy new applications. You can find more information in our docs and by joining the Dev-Mainnet-Channel in the Mode discord.
Mode and The Superchain
Mode’s mainnet is powered by the OP Stack, a secure and scalable Ethereum Layer-2. Mode is currently running the OP Stack Mainnet configuration which has been thoroughly audited by both Optimism and Base.
Mode’s decision to deploy the OP Stack means it becomes the newest member of the Superchain to go live on Mainnet. As a part of the Superchain a proportion of revenue generated by Mode’s sequencer will go towards funding public goods within the Superchain ecosystem.
SFS Module
The Sequencer Fee Sharing Module will be deployed before the 22nd November. After this point developers can register their contracts for sequencer fee sharing. We will announce this in our developer channels. Please check our documentation on registering your smart contract on the SFS.
Dev Mainnet Commemorative Mint
Developers can mint the NFT below to commemorate this milestone for the Mode community.
What’s more, builders who deploy a contract during the Dev Mainnet period will qualify for a unique Early Mode Builder NFT as recognition for your early support.
What’s Next?
The Mode team will be supporting developers with deploying their applications and preparing for a public launch.
