DAO Digest 28.01-03.02

Weekly Digest of DAO Proposals by Holdim AI

This week, a number of different proposals have been put to a vote in DAO Governance circles, touching on topics such as liquidity incentives, privacy definitions, accounting locked tokens, fraud prevention, and stablecoins.

Today as an experiment, we wanted to see how AI express some of the proposals in a more creative way.

So let’s get to it 👇

Frax’s FIP-176 proposes deploying a Frax ferry between Ethereum Mainnet and BSC to facilitate sfrxETH token bridging. This would significantly improve cross-chain token compatibility, while introducing a slower but more secure method of bridging tokens. Frax’s FIP-177 proposes allocating 300,000 $vlCVX votes for clevUSD/FraxBP pool for the next 6 epochs on Votium, while Flywheel’s grant renewal for 2023 has also been proposed.

Frax proposed adding two new staking tokens to their FXS gauge controller: STG/FraxBP and clevUSD/FraxBP. This would incentivize FraxBP pools and offer additional FXS rewards for staking these tokens. Metronome also proposed adding a msUSD/FraxBP pool to the FXS gauge controller.

Stargate DAO’s proposal for PancakeSwap farming would move $2 million of their protocol-owned liquidity to PancakeSwap, in return for a higher average APR for their LP. They would also promote Stargate in their ecosystem to increase awareness of the project. In addition, their Autonomous Pool Deployment proposal would add WOO token to Stargate on all 7 supported blockchains, allowing users to bridge and swap WOO tokens.

Stargate proposed re-issuing a new STG token which would be done on March 15, 2023 and existing holders would receive an identical amount of the new STG tokens.

Aave’s proposal for adding wstETH to Optimism Aave v3 proposes to give users the opportunity to take part in a rewards-maximising stETH/wETH loop and provide Aave with additional revenue. Their wETH Interest Rate Curve proposal for Ethereum v2 proposes to increase borrowing demand and overall revenue by adjusting interest rate parameters.

Rocket Pool’s Change Protocol Settings proposal for Atlas proposes to lower how much ETH sits on the rETH contract before overflowing into the deposit pool, and increasing the size of the deposit pool. They also proposed a Self-limiting Rocket Pool and Updating Grants Management Committee proposal.

OlympusDAO proposed depositing up to $66 million worth of Protocol Owned OHM-DAI and OHM-ETH BP tokens into the Aura Protocol and staking them in their respective positions. This would help the protocol earn additional rewards from the Liquidity Pool on Balancer.

ShapeShift proposed an Operative Definition of Privacy in addition to their SCP-80 which would allow the Product and Marketing workstreams to track anonymized user data while still adhering to core values and respecting user privacy

Gearbox proposed accounting locked in Curve LP GEARs in DAO Governance which would give Curve LP holders voting power in the GEAR Governance system.

The Balancer DAO proposed whitelisting the gauge for the StaFi rETH/ETH Pool to receive BAL emissions and fast tracking execution of BIP 159 & 160. This would enable the Gauge Adder v3 with a 14 day timelock for added security.

Aavegotchi proposed a budget extension for their DTF (DeFi Times) which would compensate members who have completed work and support operations for another two months with bounties. They also proposed sending a team to ETH Denver 2023 to spread awareness of the Aavegotchi protocol by wearing branded team gear and handing out physical merchandise.

Uniswap proposed enabling a 1bp fee tier for UniswapV3 on Arbitrum which would allow users to trade with lower fees and increase the competitiveness of the platform.

Angle Protocol proposed launching a decentralized stablecoin pegged to the value of one ounce of gold with two implementation options: immutable contracts or the same flexibility and setup as agEUR.

A variety of proposals have been presented to the DAO governance platforms in order to address their current issues and improve their long-term viability. These proposals focus on making cross-chain compatibility easier, increasing revenue for protocols, increasing awareness and decentralization for projects, and other solutions.
