C114 - May 5, Beijing time (ACE) - according to Reuters, Cisco announced a technology on Wednesday. It is said that the technology can predict problems in the enterprise network in advance, so as to help prevent problems and improve reliability.
This prediction software engine will collect data from various sources within the enterprise network, understand relevant patterns, and help engineers find hardware problems, bandwidth peaks, and application configuration changes before they cause difficulties.
“A dedicated team of 30 people has been working on this for the past two years. We will apply this technology to a wide range of products and services in the coming years,” said Cisco CEO chuck Robbins
Cisco said it had tested the technology with about 15 customers, including Phillips 66 and Schneider Electric.
Chuck Robbins said that traditional technology can only detect and respond to problems when they occur, but if the network can predict problems and take the initiative to make changes, customers will get a better experience.
The company plans to announce the initial integration and availability of the product at Cisco live, its annual networking conference in June.
