One of the challenges of utilizing ZK proofs is the cost of verification at scale. It is exciting to see multiple solutions to this challenge being proposed, NEBRA’s proof aggregation approach being one of these. By using zero-knowledge proofs to scale zero-knowledge proof verification, Galxe’s Identity Protocol can recursively prove multiple zero-knowledge proofs off-chain, and verify only a single aggregated proof on-chain.

Galxe Identity Protocol utilizes privacy-preserving ZK technology to enable safe and seamless integration of digital identities across platforms. This protocol empowers both users and developers with revocable and onchain managed credentials, redefining how users engage and explore web3’s expanding universe of decentralized applications.
More specifically, NEBRA UPA can aggregate multiple ZK proofs (from different parties or applications) into a single aggregated proof on-chain. By using NEBRA UPA as the shared settlement layer of the proofs, the proof verification cost is amortized among different parties, bringing the proof verification cost down by 10x on both Ethereum and its L2s.
This application, developed by the Galxe team, uses the Galxe Identity Protocol to enhance in real life event check-ins by generating a unique identity for you. This identity enables ZKP-based attestations, allowing for secure and private check-ins, QR code scans, and more. NEBRA’s UPA powers Galxe’s self-sovereign identity infrastructure, allowing Galxe to power the next wave of mass adoption of privacy-preserving technologies with ZKPs.
It empowers users and developers by enabling the creation of revocable, onchain-managed credentials, making event management more secure, and making ZKP more tangible for the end users. This "Proof Pass" will be supporting NEBRA’s Proof Day’s event check-in in Brussels, as part of the demonstration of our Proof Summer campaign.
