Martian Wallet - Twitter integration

Martian Wallet is a self-custodial crypto wallet for the Move ecosystem. The wallet itself supports the Aptos and Sui blockchains.

Twitter recently officially announced the integration of the crypto wallet into its social network. Although, this is no longer new, both Instagram and Telegram have tried to do such integrations. However, the full-fledged possibility of p2p cryptocurrency transfers within social networks has not been achieved. In addition, the Aptos blockchain is very young and has not yet had time to give out all its awards, while Sui is at the testnet stage.

At the moment, the integration of the Martian wallet is in the testing phase, so you can only exchange test tokens on the testnet network. But being one of the first testers always increases the chances of getting airdrops.

So, to business:

  • First of all, we need to install the Martian Wallet, the application is installed as a browser extension.

  • Check the wallet version in the settings. Must be at least 1.3.9, otherwise update.

  • When you first launch the application, create a strong password and save the seed phrase.

  • In the wallet, click on the Twitter icon and link the wallet with your page on the social network.

  • Switching our wallet to the test network.

  • Next, we need to request test tokens. To do this, go to the site, verify through Google and connect your Martian wallet. 10 test coins come instantly.

It's time to test P2P Twitter transfers from Martian.

For testing:

  • The sender and recipient must be following each other on Twitter.

  • We write a message on Twitter: "GM @martian_wallet send 5 $APT on testnet to @nickname" (the number of test tokens can be any).

  • Open the wallet > click on the bell > notifications and confirm the transaction.
