O3 Labs has been in the DeFi space for just over 2 years now and we don’t plan on leaving it anytime soon. We are, however, deviating from the original plan and listening to our community in an effort to grow our usership, influence, and brand for 2023. That means that in Q1 of 2023 we will be deploying O3 Swap on non-EVM chains, so assets can bridge across both EVM and non-EVM networks with ease. We’ve thought long and hard about the implications of such a move and have decided that the benefits of doing so far outweigh the risks as we strive for a more inclusive Web 3 ecosystem. Developing O3 Swap on non-EVM chains has always been in our interest; however, it wasn’t until this year that we’ve set out to accomplish this goal.
Q2 of 2023 will be highlighted by the launch of our NFT Bridging protocol, called the NFT Shuttle. Our NFT Shuttle will be unique in that it will preserve the NFT owners’ rights and utilities even as they transfer their NFT across chains. The team expects that the number of users holding NFTs will greatly increase over the next year due to the increasingly social nature of Web3’s blockchain users. Preserving your digital identity while adding interoperability so that your NFT can interact with non-native blockchain protocols will become more prevalent as the future becomes the present reality.
Q3 will be a quarter of significant development on NFT bridging protocol for SocialFi ecosystems, a build that we’ve not yet seen before in the nascent SocialFi space. Our team is currently imagining ways that one Web 3 identity can interact with multiple different, and disparate social platforms without having to abandon or create new identities. This paradigm has not yet been perfected in Web 2, but we’re certain that Web3’s mission is aligned with bringing such a model to fruition. O3 Labs very much plans to provide the infrastructure that onboards users to a new decentralized identity. With social profile bridging enabling user’s social graph to be available and interoperable on different blockchains, we’re certain that SocialFi will bring about new opportunities for users to own and monetize their own content in a completely new way.
Finally, in Q4 O3 Labs will be experimenting with zero-knowledge proofs in an effort to develop a trustless liquidity solution based on their cutting edge technology. As of yet, zk-rollups haven’t been accessible to the mainstream user, but our team expects that to change in due time. The speed and inexpensive zero-knowledge based blockchains have the potential to onboard the next generation of Web 3 users.
Aside from the technical developments we plan to partake, we also want to focus on aspects of marketing and community governance.
Community Governance
The community is the lifeblood of a DeFi project, and with the participation of O3 token holders in 2022, we’ve passed numerous chain integration proposals on Snapshot, which helped us expand to new blockchains in new markets. In 2023, we plan to begin supporting non-EVM blockchains with our O3 Hub to prioritize connecting not just the EVM compatible world, but the entire Web 3.0 universe thanks to insights from those in our communities.
Not only that, we will increase community governance and encourage everyone to take the initiative for new proposals - whether they pertain to supporting new chains, adding new functions, or changing APR ratios. At the same time, we are improving the governance process to make it more standardized and easy to use as it should be for a proper DeFi community. Community Growth Fund
In 2023, we’ve set up a Community Growth Fund from which we will be rewarding liquidity providers, active users with positive behavior on chain, as well as contributors on our Discord and Twitter communities. Users who bring other users with them will similarly be handsomely rewarded.

Referral Program
We want to continue growing indefinitely! To do so, we will launch a referral function for O3 Swap in Q2 of 2023, because we plan to expand our usership considerably. We also expect more projects to use our SDK and Widget through referral links too. We hope loyal O3 users can share referral links with friends and family for them to experience smooth cross-chain transactions!
Content Creation
For 2023 we will invest more in content creation to help and educate both new and experienced users, and spread the functionalities of O3 products internationally. If you would like to contribute your writing and or video-making skills to help promote O3 Swap or help our community without a full-time commitment, you can join our community on Discord channel #join-hands to learn more.
Additionally, we will permanently host our content on-chain using decentralized socialFi platforms like Lens Protocol and Mirror. As we plan to integrate NFT bridging protocol into SocialFi ecosystems to enable cross-chain bridging of social content NFTs in Q3 of 2023, we intend to make the switch from traditional social media platforms to decentralized ones as well.
