Beta is excited to present the future direction of the project today, and the timing couldn’t have been better. With Bitcoin surpassing $100,000 for the very first time, there are now a wealth of new people using crypto today compared to before. Combined with the progress of AI, the importance of crypto is more apparent than ever before, and new opportunities are unlocked. The team has grown to capture the new opportunity, while continuing to grow the existing products under the Beta umbrella...

Introducing Omni
IntroductionWe are excited to introduce Omni, the next evolution of the Beta protocol. Omni will go live on Sepolia this September 28th, with details on gaining exclusive early access and supporting the protocol on its journey to Mainnet to be announced at the beginning of that week. Since we first announced Omni a few months ago, we have continued to advance the mechanism design to innovate the fundamental structure of decentralized money markets. Our research and development teams have focu...

We are excited to announce the integration of BETA on Stargate for Ethereum and BNBChain. Now, BETA users are able to bridge seamlessly between Ethereum Mainnet and BNBChain using the Stargate bridge, powered by Layerzero. The BETA token on Ethereum Mainnet has now integrated the OFTAdapter standard issued by LayerZero. This means that the token being bridged through Stargate on Ethereum Mainnet is the native BETA token. However, for BNBChain there is an OFT wrapper around the native BETA token on BNBChain. This means that in order to bridge the token on BNBChain, users must first convert the native BETA token on BNBChain to the OFT token, compatible with Stargate. The guide below outlines the steps to take for bridging from BNBChain to Ethereum Mainnet and from Ethereum Mainnet to BNBChain.
The existing native BETA token on BNBChain will continue to be used for collateral deposits and staking for stkBETA. Additionally, exchanges such as Binance accepts Ethereum deposits for BETA and MEXC, Bitget, and more accept deposits for both Ethereum and BNBChain. The Stargate bridge now provides a way for users to permissionlessly bridge between BNBChain and Ethereum Mainnet.
To bridge from BNBChain to Ethereum, we will need to convert the native BETA token on BNBChain to the OFT version, and then use Stargate to bridge to Ethereum to receive the native BETA token on Ethereum.
1. Obtain the native BETA token on BNBChain, and navigate to the “Convert” page on https://app.betafinance.org. If you have a non-zero balance the UI will automatically detect how much BETA you have. Click on the Green arrow in the center to toggle between switching from native BETA to the OFT.

2. Enter the amount of tokens you would like to convert to the BetaOFT to bridge to Ethereum through Stargate. Click “Approve BETA” if you have not already approved the necessary amount before in order to proceed with the conversion.

3. Once the required token approvals are complete, you are now able to execute the convert transaction to deposit the native BETA token for the BetaOFT token.

4. Now that you have obtained the BetaOFT token, head over to Stargate and select BETA to bridge from BNBChain to Ethereum. Execute the necessary transactions on Stargate to initiate the bridging.

5. You’re all set! Stargate relayers will automatically deposit the native BETA token on Ethereum into your wallet after a few minutes.
To bridge from Ethereum Mainnet to BNBChain, you will first go to Stargate and then receive the OFT token on BNBChain. You will then need to convert the OFT token to the native token on BNBChain. Then you are able to directly use the native BETA on BNBChain for staking or as collateral on Omni!
1. Go to Stargate to bridge the native BETA on Ethereum to BNBChain. Stargate will send you the BetaOFT token on BNBChain as a result of bridging.

2. After a few minutes, you should receive the BetaOFT tokens on BNBChain. Head over to the convert page on https://app.betafinance.org.

3. Click the Green arrow in the center to toggle the conversion to switch from the the OFT to native BETA. Enter the amount of the OFT you would like to convert to the native BETA. Approve the OFT tokens if you haven’t already for conversion to the native BETA.

4. Execute the convert transaction to obtain the native BETA. You’re all set now to deposit BETA on Omni as collateral or into the staking module!

We will be announcing our updated road map for 2025 in the near future. Be on the look out for what’s to come for BETA! Happy Holidays!
