What happens when art becomes a conversation with your own consciousness? As part of Brand in the Open, we invited 10 artists to explore what it means to build a brand for the decentralized internet. One of them was LGHT, a visual storyteller who hides layered ideas in “simple beauty.”
“My art is an extension of my curiosity and desire to articulate,” he said. “I like to hide these convos in simple beauty, always wondering if anyone on my wavelength can read the color-pages.”
For LGHT, creating onchain is a core part of his work. “It’s the basis of my new career. I don’t come from polished resume world. I’m a drop out, reformed delinquent... Onchain changed all that. It’s given me and my family security. And it let me do it on the merit of my own mind and character.”
What does he want to see more of from creatives? “Courage. You can’t wait for the okay or the sign off or the recognition. You’ve got to be courageous, over and over and over and over again.”
The team from Boys Club went to EthCC to learn about the next big thing.
Naomi onboarded a restaurant in Cannes to accept payments, and found that the city was more crypto-friendly than she thought.
As always, this is just a slice of what’s happening onchain. Around the world, people are building, creating, and reshaping what the internet can be — and it’s happening on Base.
