Boss in Web3

Charity, community, and brand building in #Web3. A case study of HUGO BOSS. Today's post is about a smaller activation by Hugo Boss and their collaboration with a Web3 native project called Boss Beauties as I found the concept interesting and something which can be re-applied by other traditional brands looking for a low-risk entry into the Web3 space.

March 2022 - As part of International Women's Day, Hugo Boss and Boss Beauties launched a social impact project titled ‘Dream Like A Boss’. The objective of the program was to provide young women from developing nations and underrepresented groups mentorship opportunities for professional development. The program provided executive mentorship talks and real-life business experiences. As part of this, executives at HUGO BOSS with diverse backgrounds and skill sets offered mentorship and business project opportunities. Boss Beauties also hosted a panel conversation on ‘Asking For What You Want’ featuring Rashmi Verma, Head of Diversity & Inclusion at HUGO BOSS.

As part of the initiative all Boss Beauties NFT Holders received a FREE NFT from the Boss Beauties x BOSS collaboration and a special 1/1 NFT was auctioned to fund this new social impact initiative. Limited edition BOSS t-shirt was also sold online with a Boss Beauties print with a portion of the proceeds from each sale donated to the Dream Like a BOSS mentorship program. This project is a great example of meaningful and authentic collaboration between traditional and web3 native brands. As every large brand has several CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiatives there is an opportunity to leverage some of them to engage with the Web3 native communities if there is a natural fit. It can be a low-risk way for a traditional brand to slowly enter the Web3 space with an initiative that almost has it all Web3 initiative
