Outpost Surge is a city-building survival game on Mars, where players balance resource management, city growth, and settler health to turn a barren landscape into a thriving, vibrant city.
We’re grateful for the player feedback from our 2024 Early Access program, which shaped this direction. Game development is a journey, and finding the right formula takes time.
We leveraged our 3D world-building expertise to create a fast-paced, strategic game where terrain and layout matter. We wanted early decisions to shape late-game play, reducing randomness and giving players more control over outcomes.
Through extensive brainstorming, testing, and feedback, the most compelling aspects we zeroed in on were building a settlement from the ground up, optimizing placement, and unique survival tradeoffs.
Outpost Surge challenges players to balance resource management, settlement growth, and settler well-being to establish a flourishing Martian settlement. Here’s what you can expect:
Construct and upgrade infrastructure to sustain life, generate power, and manage vital resources like oxygen, water, and food. But beware, with a constant stream of new arrivals, you must always ensure you’re one step ahead of the settlement’s ever increasing needs.
Mars presents unique opportunities and challenges, from dust storms to radiation exposure and low gravity. Use advanced technology and strategic planning to ensure your settlers stay healthy, or risk their health in pursuit of a greater need.
