Common Mistakes in Beginner Operations

post image

1 Ignoring User Experience

Pushing content with typos. Using self-indulgent copy and headlines instead of considering the audience. Neglecting serious bugs that users have reported. Poor formatting.

2 Not Doing Operational Work

Failing to pursue the core value of the product. Lacking clear user segmentation and personas. No planning for operational rhythm. Product teams not understanding operations, and vice versa. Operations and products are gradually merging, which is a trend.

3 Lack of Business Cost Awareness

Failure to estimate costs before an event or incorrect cost estimation Uncontrolled channel marketing costs including but not limited to channel placement, advertising, soft articles, CPCs etc.

4 Disregarding Data Analysis

Never analyzing data resulting in no review of operational effectiveness Without measurable operations it is impossible to grow Basic statistical analysis skills only at average level Unclear data requirements Focusing on vanity metrics Too many metrics make it difficult to know where to start
