Today I’ll have a look into layer3.xyz * from a user (human) perspective and also from a project (company) perspective, and let’s see how this intersects.

I’m far from mastering the Web3 subject, however, daily I dedicate some time to :
Reading articles,
Exploring around (& 🔗 sharing my daily adventures on YouTube),
Reading white-papers,
Being a Web3 bounty hunter (Learning & Earning),
Contributing to DAOs.
Still, it looks like that every single day I find out something completely new. How is it even possible?
Welcome to Web3, where things move incredibly fast-paced.
-1 month feels like 1 year (or more).
Projects are innovating every day and releasing new features.
If it is hard to keep up for those working in this niche, imagine for those starting with Web3 today?
Creators,
Marketers,
Community Moderators,
Discord & Twitter thread fanatics,
TL;DR Masters,
MEMErs.
All those roles are highly needed to help in Web3/crypto adoption.
All my appreciation for those wizards 🧙 transforming complex tech stuff into understandable messages for ‘normies’.
So, one part of the puzzle is education.

A question for both sides:
Users: How do you know that you are not missing out on an amazing project?
Projects: How do you make sure that your amazing project is being seen by the user?
Let’s be honest, once we (users) get habituated to a project, and its interface, we don’t want to move on to another, we are happy in our comfort zone.
Unless, there is a good reason for us to move, and this isn’t necessary $.
It could be:
A fun experience,
An engaging community,
An NFT or POAP reward,
Simply a project that is NOT a scam :)
Nothing more frustrating than building something amazing, and then not getting enough traction because users aren’t understanding what to do on your website.
The truth is, this is your (project) fault, not the user’s.
How are you making the user experience easy and accessible?
Think about your community & of course, listen to their feedback.
And let’s be honest, probably only 2% of people read the docs.
The user will use the tools that are most familiar and easy to use.
Alright, quick recap:
1) We are looking for an engaging and interactive way that projects can expose their new product.
2) In a familiar and easy way to make the user experience the easiest and with least resistance possible.
3) Making sure to listen & reward your community accordingly, right?

TIME-SENSITIVE: If you are reading this article in September/October 2022.
Currently, 🔗 Layer3 is running a special campaign called ‘Proof of Discovery’
Weekly Twitter Spaces with amazing projects & vibes: 🔗 Guild.xyz , 🔗 LilNouns & many others,
Daily Trivia Contests with a cash prize.

Bounties, Contests & Quests are an extremely engaging and playful way to mix education and correct user interaction.
For Users:
Have a step-by-step on how to accomplish a task, (Facilitates learning)
Get rewarded by task realised, (everyone likes rewards, right?)
An extra layer of security, considering that projects are being triaged before putting on the website. (Reducing scam risks)
For Projects:
Create an easy step-by-step of how you want actions done on your Dapp,
Access to user-base driving thousands of on-chain and off-chain actions.
Even though the user will have to explore a new Dapp, the interaction is intermediated by the Layer3 platform, which is already habitual for many.
Think of it like an icebreaker or a wingman.
It is always easier to talk to someone new when there is a friend in common introducing both of you, right?
For Users:
Familiarity & trust with the L3 platform.
For Projects:
Being introduced to a huge user database.
I see this point as the most important one!
Projects will get instant hundreds or thousands of interactions on their Dapp.
This will stress-test the capacity of their product, and the chain they are built. On top of that, if you jump to the Layer3 Discord server you’ll see that the community is fully engaged in giving honest feedback (Positive and negative).
For Users:
Have space to share your opinion and get listened to,
Help to build a product that you’d like use.
For Projects:
Get full feedback about your project, and the opportunity to improve your product according to what the community is sharing.
I mentioned it before, and I’d like to highlight it. As Discord seems so messy at first sight, we may overlook its importance & opportunity of it.
You get the chance to talk with CEO of startups that raised millions, leaders, entrepreneurs, and people with great ideas, from every single part of the world.
The community vibes are amazing, and the accessibility to great minds too.
For users:
If you have any professional / personal aim in Web3, this is an opportunity to meet people - 10x better than Linkedin.
For projects:
Repeat this to yourself: Community is the way.
Be there, listen to ‘your’ people.
Most projects forget that what powers them is the community with which they are built.
Extremely important to dedicate a portion of your time to nourish those who are interacting with your project & reward them accordingly.
Again, not only speaking about financial rewards, but sometimes just a ‘Thank you’ message and a simple @everyone Announcement from the Leaders on Discord counts a lot!
So, what I wanted to highlight here is the importance for projects to develop their community, and for users to be on the look out for amazing projects out there.
And for both those points, you know where to go.
