While the first 48 hours of MetaMask extension use are fraught with questions, errors, and documentation follow-ups, the following 48 hours are a bit more encouraging.
I have been able to interact with a few Web3 applications
parcel.money - A DAO and Treasury Admin with Multisig and Dashboarding
mirror.xyz - A Medium + Web3 (funding, auctions) Publishing Platform
The notional costs of the ETHEREUM network (ETHUSD on 4/5/22 : $3250)
$100 to stumble around and get bearings. I am pleased with the experience thus far given the fight to get through the initial steps.
$40 to create a parcel.money SAFE for funds through a smart contract
~$5 (x 3) to send 0 ETH transactions and cancel stuck ones by overriding and overpaying the same nonce.
$10 - 15 to transfer USDC (Gas < 100 Gwei)
FREE - Mirror suggests that publishing is for FREE so let’s give that a try…

Yep. Mirror.xyz publishing is FREE.
Worth noting that in the “Remove Entry” settings for Mirror.xyz they state:
Entry data will still be available on the blockchain. Remove entry only hides it from your project.
The mirror.xyz footer below identifies an Arweave TX for the content. This looks to be the core storage for the FREE publishing offer. You can see more about arweave here. However, I was not able to find the transaction by clicking on it or searching on the explorer. Please ping me if you have any luck!
