The PipeDreamers Foundation is a coalition whose aspirational work is centered firmly in the power of collaboration and community. It is our belief that engineering equitable solutions at scale can only be solved by networks of communities who share in the responsibilities and benefits of the value they are creating for one another.

To accomplish these objectives, PipeDreamers is grounded in the philosophical framework of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAO) where decision making comes from its collective of members who contribute to the value generation of the community at large. We aspire to make the actual work of building a transformative movement rewarding, transparent, equitable, dynamic, and engaging by allowing all stakeholders to contribute to the evolution of the PipeDreamers Foundation and the blockchain technology empowering the network.

We not only derive value form our collective efforts but also an understanding of the kind of work that our community finds valuable by prioritizing transparency, open collaboration, and positive reinforcement. Approaching our mission in this manner does not rely on hierarchical management or any form of coercion; and instead, increasingly aligns all actions with the shared vision and unfettered growth that our community necessitates to accomplish our objectives. 

PipeDreamers Technology aligns with the aforementioned foundational tenets as well. Decentralized and equitable collaboration is ensured by our implementation of open-source blockchain technology. By embracing this technological evolution in computing power and capability we will be able to operate on a secure and transparent network while executing our responsibilities via smart contracts created and vetted by the community.

These community smart contracts establish the governing rules of the community and ensure that community members with a stake in the future of the PipeDreamers Foundation are automatically issued both governance responsibility and recompense in proportion to their value contribution and creation. Because of blockchain’s verifiable and indestructible record keeping system, all community members will be able to not only view the code powering our network, but will also be able to audit the treasury, grants, donations, and investments of PipeDreamers without forfeiting the right to validate all transactional and interactive history made within the community network.  

We believe that the ultimate beneficiaries of the justice and value that social organizations create should be those most directly affected by the historic outcomes that inefficient and ineffective systems have produced hitherto. By engineering a coalition empowered by technology that enables us to understand how value is created and distributed throughout our community network, we can drive decisions and community resources towards solutions that advance the prosperity of our youth and their futures.
