Does it resonate? Often times, if you come from an impoverished background you have to work extra hard to separate yourself from the people around you in order to stand out and explore areas of life uncommon to your peers. In most cases, you become ostracized for your radical ways of thinking, odd behavior, and deviation of the norm of the group dynamic. The initial feelings of isolation may feel jarring, but once you begin to mingle with more successful people and you find that your success and achievements are encouraged and promoted you quickly acclimate to this new way of life as you can now picture a brighter future for yourself. The idea of bringing your friends to the top with you is novel, but if they don’t possess the same drive, work ethic, or passions then it can it can feel like you’re trying to drag a boulder up a steep hill. Giving back to your friends is nice too, but if they become leeches to your riches then you’ve effectively slowed down your own growth process.
If you have a financially savvy background or have always been wealthy, then chances are you don’t even associate too closely with people under a certain net worth. They can’t communicate with you in depth about the things that hold real interest for you, and if it costs you more in time or money to maintain that friendship than it’s worth then it’s basically dead weight or a negative investment.
I’m here to tell you that your path to riches does not need to be daunting or segregated. Money With Friends is a Members Only Community where we can learn and grow by sharing knowledge and information in all aspects of Decentralized Finance.
Money With Friends is the brainchild of Jonas Arequipa Jr. — a professional videographer and master networker. Jonas is a former marine who has carried over his teachings of comradery, growth, and leadership into business and everyday life. He is a firm believer in the mottos “Each one teach one” and “When one person teaches, 2 people learn.” Inspired by the Dale Carnegie classic “Think and Grow Rich,” Jonas built his first mastermind group back in 2009. He continued to perfect that formula, and I joined his mastermind group in 2019. He grew that group to over 200 people, who’s members ranged from all walks of life, professions, and varying socioeconomic backgrounds. He facilitated regular weekly calls and meet-ups to inspire and educate the members on financial matters, while encouraging teamwork and deeper bonds that translated to dollars and smiles. Later that year, he and selected members from the group traveled to the Bitcoin Mansion in Miami where they incubated for a couple weeks to work on their passions and business ventures. Being the entrepreneur that he is, Jonas took advantage of this opportunity and created Disinfection Force — A company based on a rapid response unit armed and ready to eliminate Covid-19. It was an ingenious idea come to fruition that used his experience as a member of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (Chemical Biological Incident Response Force) while in the marines to solve the immediate needs of his loved ones, business partners, and people everywhere. Jonas experienced great success with his business, landing contracts with Real Estate companies, Hotels, Motels, and even New York MTA. Though his Disinfection Force company was successful, Jonas saw that the true value was in building communities, as this was the route that led him to launching his company in the first place. Fast forward to less than 2 years later, Jonas continues to bring people together in a community focused environment, this time with a focus on raising the financial awareness and literacy of everyone involved. He was able to grow the community organically to 250+ members in just a couple months, and is now launching that membership community into a full scale platform that will provide a wealth of information and benefits to its members which will translate to wealth in their pockets. Marvelous. Simply marvelous.

MEMBERSHIP
Money With Friends maintains a rigorous process in regards to member selection. While we do not discriminate based on race, socioeconomic status, or profession, we are highly particular on character. We will only accept members that display a high level of integrity and demonstrate an ability to contribute to our community.
Upon submitting a formal application, the membership committee will review and render a decision on acceptance after taking into account all aspects of the person’s character. Applications include basic information like Name, Address, Contact Information, and also information about one’s career history. Perhaps most importantly though is the applicant’s response on questions such as, “What do you think you will add to the MWF community?” To reiterate, MWF is not looking for one type of person, but rather an eclectic group that brings together diverse yet strong values in order to create a valuable membership experience. In addition to completing an application, applicants must have support from at least one existing MWF member to gain access.

I met Jonas a few years back in a Real Estate office in New Jersey. We noticed we had similar goals and mindsets and clicked instantly. I’ve worked with him on a few projects up to this point and have been in mastermind groups and book clubs together.
