Sunday Crypto Brunch — March 6, 2022

The Sunday Crypto Brunch is a weekly roundup of crypto news pulled from various sources throughout the week. I look for anything in the DeFi, GameFi, NFT, and Metaverse spaces that I think is interesting to keep you up-to-date on the fast moving world of crypto. Below is a brief synopsis of each article as well as links to the original article.

Enjoy your Sunday Crypto Brunch!

Chris Moneymaker Enters ICE Poker

The guy who made internet poker mainstream is now in on ICE Poker. I contacted his publicist to ask if he was ‘all-in on ICE Poker’ and they said, ‘who are you and how did you get this number?’ I’m assuming that’s a yes. If you’d like to know more about what ICE Poker is and how you can make money with it, you can read more here.

Healthcare Enters the Metaverse

CVS has joined the ranks of companies that intend to offer their services in the Metaverse. Bold move considering that they barely offer services in the real world. At least now you can just log into Decentraland to find out that your prescriptions won’t be filled for another hour.

The Sandbox Hits 2 Million Users and Begins a K-Pop Partnership

Two million users is impressive, but the K-Pop thing seems like a bit of a non sequitur. Don’t get me wrong. I love me some BTS. I just don’t know why the article chose to connect the two. Either way, The Sandbox has more than 200 games you can play for a chance to win up to 1,000 SAND. Well worth creating an account if you haven’t already.

Take All My Money — Music NFTs Are Gaining Popularity

I’m pretty bullish on Music NFTs. They seem like the perfect solution to disrupt what is, in my opinion, a broken industry. Should you ape into any music project you find? I will, but I’m a degen and likely to go broke before you finish this sentence. Do your own research…and maybe spot me $20.

Zuckerberg Thinks We’ll All Live In The Metaverse

Zuckerberg thinks we’ll leave reality one day for the metaverse. Musk thinks we’ll leave Earth for Mars. I think we should solve this the old fashion way — with a luchador fight. For the record, I think they’re both wrong. We already live in a simulation

Bitcoin Tops The Russian Ruble.

I can’t make light of the terrible situation in the Ukraine. Fortunately, the crypto market has dealt out the smallest amount of justice. The market cap of Bitcoin has exceeded the money supply of the Russian Ruble. May it be the first in a long list of Russian defeats. Glory to Ukraine!

That’s it! You’re all caught up. You can connect with me @CryptoDegenFML on Twitter or CryptoDegenFML here on Medium to hear more about my degenerate crypto plays. You can also clap for this article (up to 50x) to let me know you enjoyed it. It’ll mean a lot to me. See you next week, degens!
