Alright so boom, with Consensus far behind us and plenty of time to rest and recover. Time to share my recap and give the Consensus a vibe check.
The consensus recap you’ve been waiting for. Here's my take on consensus and the immaculate and not so immaculate vibes. Let's get into it.
Proof of Vibes was involved in the curation and production of a few side events. Kicked off the week with the build Austin Network state event. (https://x.com/buildcities/status/1780268406140178775)
Absolute banger. All centered around Network States. The lineup was full of amazing speakers. Including Megan Murray of the Aletha Network, Dryden Brown of Praxis Nation, and so many more. A lot of learning and alpha. Huge shoutout to the Build Cities Team, ATX DAO, Build DAO, and 40 Acres for helping put this one together.
Following Build Austin, we migrated to the rooftop for “See you at the Top”. Where we enjoyed the beautiful downtown Austin skyline with good people, drinks, and great vibes. What a pleasure to be around so many like minded individuals from all over and
Blunt DAO had a pop up. The Re-up came hitting on all cylinders. After two years since the inception, activations all over the world and thousands of blunts smoked. We kicked off consensus with our first blunt rolling competition. With some truly amazing contestants. Over a 100 blunts handed out. And made all possible with blunts.wtf. Shout Out to blunt DAO Prez Amadope (https://twitter.com/Amadop3_) , blunt dao OGs JP, Sam, Shot and all the others who made it possible.
Now onto the conference itself. Kick off was great. So many amazing people from all over the world. Degens, Regens and everything in between. But if i'm being completely honest here. The conference itself was pretty mid. Diddnt watch too many talks. Caught the tail end of the Azeem and Glorias panel conversation. Side bar. We rocking with Morph. Outside of that nothing else to compelling but im pretty biased I dont really go to conferences for the panels. I like to be outside and go to the side events. I will say this though, the swag this year was terrible. Was actually insane to see. I did get some fire helium socks though. So that was a win, and a dope flask. Outside of that, BUNS.
We followed up our series of events on that thursday. I helped co-host the Sunset Snacktime with my brother Gary Sheng. Truly amazing vibes. A culmination of some of the top builders in the industry. Shared great convos and ideas over charcuterie and snacks. Enjoying the beautiful scenery of west lake hills. For me it was a confirmation on the importance of continuously hosting and providing space.
At the end of the day Consensus was great. A few of my favorite moments outside of the events we produced had to be the the Pizza Rodeo, held by Pizza DAO @ inn cahoots. The Hoe down pt 2 by Boys Club, they always kill it. And finally the ATX Block Party. Hosted and Produced the legend herself Jenn Fassino.
Just Immaculate vibes overall. Thankful for everyone who showed up and showed out. Couldn't have made it possible without your help. Amazing meeting some many people and individuals.
