Blockchain created by Coinbase and built on open source OP Stack, in collaboration with Optimism. Seamless integration with Coinbase, easy fiat deposit, and access to over 110 million users and over $80 billion worth of assets in the Coinbase ecosystem tells us that the network will be in demand and be able to reward its early adopters for testing in the future.

Investments:
There is no information on investments, but how can we understand that Base is a native blockchain of the Coinbase exchange, like Binance's BNB Chain. Hence the logical conclusion that Coinbase is the lead investor in its blockchain and gives it the potential for development.

What is even more interesting is that absolutely all serious and large funds that exist in the crypto space are subscribed to the twitter of the project. I think that soon we will see very large rounds of funding, as there are already many large integrations of Base with such as: LayerZero, Ribbon, Socket and others.
