Each round, 100,000 $PULSE will be put into a reward pool. Up to X casts (e.g., 20) that get the most votes will win rewards and be shown in the Square "For You" section.
75% of the rewards go to the creators of winning casts.
25% of the rewards go to the voters for winning casts.
Each Pulser may cast only 1 vote per cast, with each vote costing 50 $PULSE.
Example: 16 casts that received a total of 146 votes have been selected into the reward pool for this round. Therefore, each cast will earn (100,00075%) / 16 = 4,687.5 ≈ 4,688 $PULSE (all decimal points will be rounded down to the nearest whole number) for their creators, and each voter will get (100,00025%) / 146 = 171.23 ≈ 171 $PULSE.
In each round, before the winning casts receive rewards and are stored on-chain, there is a period of time T (e.g., 1 hour) designated for challenges.
During T, participants may challenge the winning casts for various reasons. Challengers can click the “Report” button and select the appropriate reason from the list.
When a cast receives challenges, it will be reported to Pulse Official for final review. If Pulse Official determines that the cast violates our community rules, the challenge will be deemed successful.
When a cast is successfully challenged:
Both the creator and voters of the challenged cast will lose their rewards (R) that they are supposed to receive.
R will be reallocated to challengers:
The 1st challenger receives 50% of R;
The 2nd challenger receives 25% of R;
The 3rd challenger receives 12.5% of R;
The 4th challenger receives 6.25% of R;
The 5th challenger receives 6.25% of R.
No rewards will be distributed to the 6th challenger or any subsequent challengers.
Example: During period T, a total of 17 casts entered the winning pool, collectively receiving 152 votes. Among them, cast A received 16 votes. The reward (R) for cast A should be:
Creator: (100,000*75%) / 17 ≈ 4,411.76 $PULSE
Voter: (100,000*25%) / 152 * 16 ≈ 2,631.58 $PULSE
R = 4,411.76 + 2,631.58 = 7,043.34 $PULSE
Subsequently, 7 challengers raised objections against cast A, and the case was escalated to Pulse Official for review. After evaluation, Pulse Official confirmed that cast A violated community rules. Therefore, cast A's reward R was allocated to the first 5 challengers:
The 1st challenger received 50% of R:7,043.34*50% = 3,521.67 $PULSE
The 2nd challenger recei ed 25% of R:7,043.34*25% = 1,760.84 $PULSE
The 3rd challenger received 12.5% of R:7,043.34*12.5% = 880.42 $PULSE
The 4th challenger received 6.25% of R:7,043.34*6.25% = 440.21 $PULSE
The 5th challenger received 6.25% of R:7,043.34*6.25% = 440.21 $PULSE
The 6th and 7th challenger received NO rewards for being too late.
When a cast is unsuccessfully challenged:
If the challenge is rejected, the cast creator will retain the right to claim the reward. According to the Credit System (see details below), the challenger’s credit score will be reduced by 0.05 for submitting a false or unsuccessful report.
Each user has a credit score, starting at 1, with no upper limit.
(Other Pulse's platform rules may also affect credit scores, please see Credit Scores Rules)

When a challenge succeeds, both the author of the cast and its voters will each have their credit scores reduced by 0.03.
When a challenge fails, the challenger’s credit score will be reduced by 0.05.
When voting, the weight of a vote is calculated as 1 × the current credit score. If the credit score is 0 or below, the vote weight will be 0. To increase their credit score, users must follow the Credit Score Rules.
Example:
User A's credit score is 1.6, so A's vote will count as 1 x 1.6 = 1.6 value
User B's credit score is 0.3, so B's vote will count as 1 x 0.3 = 0.3 value
User C's credit score is -0.8, so C's vote will count as 1 x (-0.8) = -0.8 value
Since the result is below 0, C has no voting weight.
*Note: Pulse reserves the right to modify the Credit Score Rules at its sole discretion, based on feedback and suggestions from the Pulse community.
