Introducing BlastPunks

BlastPunks, a very early NFT collection on Blast L2, with throwback to the OG Punks that inspired us to innovate.

Deployed within the first 24hrs of public mainnet launch announcement and within first week of Blast Mainnet’s Block #0

There are a number of unique features that make our collection different from just any other plain NFT.

Quick Feature List

  • random mint order

  • 100% royalties go to punk holders

  • 5-10% of all mint fees generate staking fees for holders (see below)

  • 20%, in-contract, referral fee system

  • omni-chain built-in, send punks to other chains

  • remote mint punks from other chains

Random Mint Order

Punks use the same numbers and attributes as the originals, however, minting is completely random.

When a punk is minted, you don't know which number you will get, allowing those that want the high value punks to still have a chance to get them.

Royalty Fees to Punk Holders

There is a 5% marketplace royalty in-place which will go 100% to Punk holders, forever. All royalty funds will be placed in a special contract to be distributed upon holder request in a specified time period, multiple times per year.

Staked ETH Income to Punk Holders

In addition, another 5%-10% of all mint fees collected by the main contract will be placed in another special contract in the form of interest bearing staked ETH. All staking rewards will be distributed to punk holders in a similar fashion to the royalty contract.

Referral Fees

An on-chain, in-contract, referral system is in place. Promoters can earn 20% of all mint fees by simply supplying https://app.blastpunks.xyz/?r=0xYour_Addr355_H3R3

Omni-Chain Punks

BlastPunks have Omni-Chain capabilities, they can be natively self-bridged via the LayerZero network to other supported chains.

Not only that but you can remotely mint a punk from another chain!

The first chains we will be supporting will be Arbitrum & Optimism.

This means that if a user has zero funds on Blast, they can still pay the mint fee from a supported chain, which sends a special cross-chain message to Blast and mints your Punk on the Blast Mainnet.

Bridging to Blast

If you’re trying to get funds on Blast L2, there’s 3 ways to bridge.

First you need to make sure you have Blast L2 configured in your Web3 wallet such as MetaMask using Blast Mainnet network information here: docs.blast.io/building/network-information

Bridge From ETH Mainnet

blast.io/en/bridge <- easiest way

docs.blast.io/building/bridges/mainnet <- 2nd, cheaper method is to send ETH from mainnet directly to the contract address at this address (0x3a05E5d33d7Ab3864D53aaEc93c8301C1Fa49115) - funds will arrive at the same account you sent from, but on the Blast L2.

Bridge from Another Layer 2 (Arbitrum / Optimism / etc)

Rubic Cross-Chain DEX/CEX aggregator. We usually use the following platform when moving funds across L2’s - just be aware of who it’s sending your swap through AND what the quoted price for the swap is.
