It seems that only “fat applications” are useful. Internet companies use to be thin applications that were not very useful, despite being inspiring. And it took people 20 years to build fat applications to make internet truly useful.
People just need to be patient and wait for Web3 to fatten up and become useful because, unsurprisingly, users only care about usefulness. Non-custodial is a useful feature, while decentralization is not. So you see applications need to be fat to be useful.
