Losing your way...

It is so easy to get off track and lose your way. I won’t get into specifics, but you work so hard to achieve something or to get back into something. It could be anything, writing, running, studying or reading. You have the motivation to get started, the solemn discipline to show up regularly. But something happens, something goes off track and completely breaks your rhythm making it go off course. You feel terrible, you feel guilty, you want to get back but the breaking of the rhythm is so much stronger than the momentum that picked up so slowly but surely over time.

How do you snap out of this losing streak? Getting started on a long journey to recovery seems so daunting but the logic has to be one step at a time and one micro win at a time back to the peak. You slip, you fall, you break your leg, tons of reasons to fall off and never return. But those who scale the peak pick themselves up over and over and find their way back.

Time for me to find that footing yet again. How many times I have fallen does not matter, I won’t stop until I get that peak back in my sights.
