Rare Geckos are randomly generated, unique NFTs. There are a total of 11,011 of these cute creatures in this collection. All of the artwork is original and created by the founder himself. They are not derivatives of any existing projects. And they were crafted with lots of care.

Combined, there are 561 characteristics/properties that were used to create these Rare Geckos: 204 different backgrounds; 83 different body colors; 49 skin variations; 9 types of mouths; 74 eye and color combinations; 51 accessory combinations; and 91 different sorts of companions.

What all of this all means is that no two geckos are going to be the same. Some are more rare than others. For example, 15% of the geckos in this collection do not come with companions alongside them (1,660 to be exact). On the other hand, 0.1% of these geckos do come with a Michelangelo Turtle (14).

To help support his family. And to give back. After taking a look at most of the generative art projects, the founder/artist/dev did not want to create just another profile picture NFT that was a derivative of an existing project. The goal was to create something fun and cute. Something original. Also, an animal had to be the main focus. So why not geckos? Geckos are amazing.

Kim (who goes by Stoic Graphic online) is a graphic designer that received his BA in Art and Visual Technology from George Mason University. He has done freelance work and has worked as an in-house graphic designer for the past 6 years. He left that job in August 2021 and began work on this project at the beginning of September 2021.
