Gratitude by the Getty

There’s a kind of gratitude that flows into the space behind your ears.

That fills you up to the brim flowing with wonder - how did I get so lucky?

It’s the peace and calm that arrives knowing there is nothing more or less than this moment.

Yes, there are the 1,000 things I have to do in the back of my head. But the gratitude behind my ears clears the anxious fog and makes a glittery warm path for peaceful thoughts.

I breathe and let the gratitude overflow into every fiber of my being - and with it joy, hope, kindness, awe.

It’s a well inside me, pouring into each cell until I can no longer contain the well and tears flow forward like a dam burst open.

Remember this moment when the snake tries to slither its head back up. Through ugliness, pain, hardship. This is the path you must find - the path of gratitude.
