Haunting the Hungry Ghosts
Foodie Culture Coming to the BlockchainIn this article I review the ‘Hungry Ghost Social Club’, a project built around connecting foodies through the NFT space. If you like web3 and good food, keep reading…Whilst sitting in a Twitter Space a while back, I was browsing through the profiles of some of the speakers. This is something I have found myself doing plenty as of late (I’m even listening to one as I write this). But in this particular space that I was listening to, I was reading into on...
Advancing with the Astronauts
Building Together with the BlockchainAre you interested in joining a community of passionate entrepreneurs? Excited to find opportunities to learn, build and collaborate? This is one for you…Finally, a project that I learned about outside of a twitter space. I’ve always fancied myself as the type to create something of my own, so when I heard of opportunities to align myself with the entrepreneurial crowd, I took them. Many of these have come thanks to the Flaming Galahs’ community, including...
Exploring the Flaming Galahs
A Fantastic Entry Into the Australian Web 3.0 SpaceFor my first article on the Australian Web 3.0 space, I figured I’d cover how I got started. Curious to hear about how I found my entry into the web3 space? Want to know about an organisation designed to help Aussie students enter the industry? Keep reading to find out what’s around. My first experiences with the web 3.0 space came about much the same as most people these days, trading cryptocurrency. About six months ago, in November 2021, I ...

Like mobile gaming? eSports? Low-effort income? This is certainly your kind of project…
Obligatory ‘I listen to twitter spaces and discover projects’ (seriously recommend it if you haven’t cottoned on yet. Caution: it gets addictive). Now that that’s out of the way, to the project itself. In one of these spaces, I heard an Aussie voice jump on up and offer a giveaway — but it wasn’t for NFTs or WL like I was used to hearing in spaces, it was for cheeseburgers. As I tuned in they explained that they chose this because their name is cheddar, which is a cheese, which you find on cheeseburgers. This came off as a fairly original concept, which compelled me to keep listening. I’m so glad I did, as it meant I was able to learn about ‘Cheddar Block Games’.
Cheddar Block Games are building a platform that brings eSports to mobile gaming in web 3.0. This will serve as a way to bring eSports to the masses through the aggregation of mobile games. The platform will also serve as a means to natively integrate team play and token rewards to the gaming experience. On top of that, it will be built to seamlessly onboard non-crypto natives to use blockchain technology in a way that they don’t even need to be aware of the existence of something like an NFT.

All that said, like most projects I document, there is an NFT collection associated with CBG. The exciting thing about this collection is that every one of the 5000 NFTs will be an eSports team on the Cheddar Block Games platform. As such, each NFT entitles you to two streams of income: a cut of the revenue share generated by the platform, and cut of the profits made by the team itself. Due to this, the NFTs will actually have two points of selling value: the collection’s floor price or a multiplier of the team’s earnings.
So if you’re a gamer, someone who likes the idea of bringing non-crypto natives to web 3.0, or even looking for an easy income source, Cheddar Block Games are certainly a project to follow. You can go ahead and DYOR at their website.
