Utopia 56 - Channel crossings in June continues despite the militarization of the border
Despite a 20% drop in Channel crossings initially welcomed by the French and English prime ministers, the number of crossings increased later, with a differential of 11% due to milder weather conditions.
Increased police presence has not deterred migrants, and reports indicate incidents of boats being lacerated and tear gas being used on groups, including children, attempting to cross.
Utopia 56 received distress calls from 20 groups in the English Channel between June 10 and 22, highlighting the risks and inadequacies in emergency response, with limited capacity and delays in assistance.

Action Enfance - Meristème program in collaboration with other local association to provide medico social support.
Méristème provides a dedicated multidisciplinary medical and social team that addresses behavioral issues in children from various placement structures in the Essonne department.
The facility accommodates up to 60 children placed by the Essonne department's child protection services and offers specialized interventions led by professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, art therapists, based on each child's specific needs.
