Oscar winning directors Elizabeth Chai vasarelli and Kim Kwok Wai (unarmed rock climbing, cave rescue in Thailand) focus their cameras on the sky for the first time, telling the inspiring rise of SpaceX and Elon Musk's efforts to revive America's space travel ambitions over the past 20 years. This is the first manned mission in the United States since the retirement of the space shuttle in 2011. It is a rare opportunity to lead the audience to deeply understand the heroes, engineers and astronauts behind this historic moment. "Back to space" records the preparatory work of senior NASA personnel Bob benken, Doug Hurley and their families before launch. It will lead the audience to the international space station for an exciting journey, visit musk and the mission control center of SpaceX team, and witness how they can "splash off the sea" to send astronauts back to earth.
