Old Navy
I recently figured out a way to get access to an old facebook account that I thought was long gone. It was made using an email of a domain that I owned at the time, but then let expire. I ended up buying that domain again, then using iCloud to get the same email and doing a password reset on facebook. Once I got in, I was able to get to the photos that I shared back around 2010. There were these ones from my 2008 deployment. My dad got to ride back on what they call a tiger cruise from Hawaii...
Pumpkin Patch
This past weekend, it finally felt cool enough to put on some fall jackets and head over to our local pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin, and more importantly take some photos of the boys 😁 While we were there, Owen took his time (but found one right away I’m pretty sure) to find the perfect pumpkin. Levi was just excited he can finally walk around and spent his time happy to be moving around the pumpkins.

a place for everything I want
We are on our second week of attending church back at Cornerstone. We’d gone there before, but when we moved towns it seemed like it was going to be too far, so we began going to something closer. It only ended up being 10 minutes closer. With my job taking me back to Iowa next summer it just made sense to start going back while we are still here, getting some great bible teaching, grow our friendships, and then be able to visit when we’re back in town visiting Rachel’s family.
This week, Dave D. went over Luke
Luke 9:43-45 CSB
And they were all astonished at the greatness of God. While everyone was amazed at all the things he was doing, he told his disciples, [44] "Let these words sink in: The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men." [45] But they did not understand this statement; it was concealed from them so that they could not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it.
Here’s some of his takeaways I liked enough to write down:
Jesus is the only one who can make us right with God.
You can’t find salvation in politics (president election is in two days, so some people need this reminder 😂)
Suffering has the potential to remind us to keep our eyes on Jesus.
(These ones had to do with the timing of God)
Sometimes God is protecting us from knowing things that would overwhelm us.
Sometimes you only gain clarity with time.
