Cristiano Ronaldo is a professional football player from Portugal, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He was born on February 5, 1985, on the island of Madeira, Portugal.
Ronaldo began his career with the youth teams of Andorinha and Nacional before signing with Sporting CP at the age of 16. He made his professional debut for Sporting in 2002 and soon caught the attention of scouts from top European clubs.
In 2003, Ronaldo signed with Manchester United, where he won three Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League title.
