Decentralization of finances plays a key role in the way individuals perceive independence and privacy. Even though some might argue that crypto is a scam or it’s used only buy “bad people” who use it for all kinds of illegal activity, often including money laundering, dealing of illegal substances and goods and other types of fraud. In reality however we can see that most citizens are against hyper-centralization of the administrative system (which often includes some type of strict control and rules about the financial sector) and even though today’s society constantly tells us that this is the normal way of managing finance(through centralization), human history proves that this is wrong. One could argue that until the creations of what we like to call civilized nations ruled by only an emperor and/or a handful o people we didn’t really see centralized finances, but mostly a form of local/community-centered finance(similar to a community wallet). This way the finances were managed by the people who really knew their values and knew what their money got spent on. After the formation of kingdoms and empires the whole financial system was centralized and we started to see what we could call “public administration” in its most basic form, this has evolved in fully developed administrations by the end of the 20th century. However through advancement in communications, creation of banks and the age of internet this whole system and the whole control that a country and its administration will have on it’s citizen finance has become very advance, this cumulated with the fact that there is a lot of corruption in many countries results in a high need for citizens to have strict control over their finance, the fastest way to achieve this is by adopting Decentralized Cryptocurrencies, that are not tied to an individual and let the country be run on donations and let local communities evolve how they afford and want to.
Another definitive factor that we will probably see in the next decade or even the next 2-3 decades is going to be a continuation of the cold war (with NATO and allies on one side and China paired with Russia on the other) will result in a high demand for a new international currency, not pegged to the value of a country or to the USD or to the gold, keeping in mind that the US economic system is crumbling as we speak with their debt and inflation being hardly controlled this will result in the mass adoption of cryptocurrency, as we’ve seen with the Ukrainian war so far. Making cryptocurrency “the new worldwide currency” will solve many problems regarding inflation, the control of a nation on its citizen finances and most importantly it will solve a psychological need that many humans have: the need for privacy, humans need autonomy and being forced to pay taxes to the national or federal budget is fundamentally wrong in the eyes of this people. The decentralization of finances will solve all three of this issues (the need of privacy of humans, a backup in case the world economic system fails and the independence and ability of locals to use their finances according to their need and ability). Surely, there are multiple downsides to this, but it should be democratically decided the new way of doing things.
