This predates the pizza transaction to Jan. 24, 2010, and actually it was a JPEG that was purchased (ironic, isn’t it?). And I wonder why they don’t call it Two-pizzas day.

Anyhoo, the custom for this industry-wide annual celebration is to calculate today’s current value of those two pizzas: 10,000BTC currently equals $266,630,600.00 = $133,315,300 dollars per pie. Let’s take it a step further and assume it was a typical large pizza, which would break down to just a little over $16 million a slice. Alas, the scammer got scammed.
