Synapse cross-chain communication protocol welcomes Canto Chain as the 18th supported chain.
Synapse is a messaging protocol / framework that enables consensus-driven, secure cross-chain communication (the very foundation of a cross-chain bridge). It offers interoperability support between multiple blockchain implementations (i.e. EVM, non-EVM, L1 & L2s) allowing it to access a very deep set of cross-chain liquidity. Read more here. Before Synapse, Gravity Bridge facilitated the bridging of a limited number of assets to the Canto ecosystem via Cosmos / Ethereum through Gravity Bridge.
With Synapse, Canto liquidity is now connected to a larger multi-chain ecosystem, enabling users to easily enter the ecosystem with assets that exists on other chains (i.e. Optimism).
The synapse-canto implementation features a nUSD and NOTE synapse pool which allows users to swap stable-coins on 1 chain directly to NOTE in Canto (or vice versa). That is cool.

As Synapse cements itself further as a core piece of Canto’s infrastructure, we are expecting a fruitful growth in projects due to an increase in volume of users & liquidity moving into Canto through Synapse.
To understand the greater, positive impact of Synapse integration, we aim to collect as much data as we can from the chain.
Hopefully we can present meaningful data to and build accessible monitoring tools for the users of Canto so that they are able to make well-informed on-chain decisions.
