I don’t much feel like writing today, but I told myself I would publish weekly, so here’s something I may be able to do relatively quickly that could still be useful for myself, if not others who may read this in the eternity of time. I have a bunch of principles I think of often when making decisions but I rarely if ever have taken the time to write them down. Here are 10 that come to mind.
The dread is worse than the doing.
Only set expectations for others that you know you will meet or exceed.
People love to hear their name. (credit: Dale Carnegie)
You get out what you put in.
The hardest part is to start.
Desire is the root of all suffering. (credit: The Buddha)
It is best to be thankful for the past, content in the present, excited for the future.
There is always an opportunity cost.
Positivity and faith are powerful force.
You can make your own luck
That is a somewhat random assortment, and some could probably be reworded, but those are some principles on which I operate everyday. Perhaps I will list some more in the future. For now, that’s a wrap for this post on principles.
