This week I discovered Lazy.com and actually being able to see and share my tiny collection of NFTs is super cool. I learnt about the new concept of Impact certificates from this Greenpilled podcast, and can see we need platforms like Lazy if we are trying to make a future for showing off our Impact in the world.

I also joined a group using the new (new to me anyway) Mirror function which makes it easy to tokenise a community. Called Folkore, it’s curated by Raf0 who is one of the excellent minds of crypto twitter. While the stated goal of the community is to commission long form writing at it’s core is an experiment with a focus on entertainment over effective governance. I’ve already read some mind stretching long essays that make me feel smarter and more ignorant at the same time, such as this by AaronZLewis. Still 50 spaces left if you want to jump in.

I fell down the Showtime rabbit hole, a platform for NFT giveaways, drawn in by a free NFT which would show I was ‘here before the merge’. What’s the point of the platform you may ask? I’m assuming it’s a way for NFT artists to gain a following, but for the consumer it’s just a good way to learn by observing and collecting. The variety of creation is awesome.

My goal is to bring the world if web3 and Impact together, so on the other side of the coin, is the Future Crunch newsletter which dropped this week. The FC team bring the good news from around the world that often doesn’t make the headlines. Often it is from the developing world which is great to read as we can easily become very First World/USA centric when it comes to Social and environmental issues. Highly recommend signing up to this one.

Of course my final web3 step up for the week is this Mirror post. I started out on Substack but Mirror is evolving so quickly, I want to see up close what comes next and keep experimenting with it.
